OCA Sobor
« on: October 31, 2011, 06:13:18 AM »
The OCA is meeting in Council in Seattle this week.  I don't think I need to go into detail as to why prayers are needed.

Lord have mercy, and send down the Spirit of Wisdom upon the assembly!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Lord have mercy.
Every day we should hear at least one little song, read one good poem, see one exquisite picture, and, if possible, speak a few sensible words. -Goethe

I once heard a monk say, “The person of prayer does not need to go any further than his own heart to find the source of all violence in the world.” -Fr. Stephen Freeman

It's the All-American Council that is convened regularly once every three years. A close friend is my parish's lay delegate.

Lord, have mercy!
