Hey ya'll,

Just wanted to inform everyone that has been experiencing board slowdowns over the past 24 hours, is that the problem should be fixed within the next 12. Our server had some problems with DNS, and it will have to repropagate, but should be fixed.

This is frustrating...thanks for working to fix the problem, Rob.

Phil, who can't administrate because nothing will open for him (be good, everyone!).

Hi,

Over the past 24 hours, as you have no doubt probably noticed, the board has been experiencing extreme slow downs.

The problem started yesterday when OC.net was switched over to another vlan and given a new IP address.  The DNS issues should be resolved.

Unfortunately now, we have been experiencing some mysql database issues, and I have been working with Deacon Matthew (system administrator) to fix the problem.

As of yet after several hours of work, we have yet to accurately diagnose it, so some slow downs might be evident until then.  I have tried to patch it up to make it usable, but be forewarned, it might be slow. The problem seems to be evident in the "messages" table, which comprises the bulk of the forum posts.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me either via email or PM.

Sincerely,

Robert

Looks like things are [somewhat] back to normal.

As you can see on the post stamp, I was up to 4am EST.

Anyway, please let me know if ya'll are experiencing slowdowns!
It is imperative, if need be we will be switching OC.net over to a different server.

It seems the speed varies between boards, some are slow , some say page gone.

Looks like a OC.Net has a slight hint of too much Bicardi 151'
