...there are two people who are engaged to be married.
Yep, that's right folks, I went ahead and proposed to Miranda, my fiancee (I can't get enough of saying that!) on Saturday in front of the Mother Cabrini statue at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in DC, which is precisely where I fell in love with her almost one year ago. SHe said yes and we proceeded to have the best day ever.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your prayers. Things are still rough with her mother, who is trying to make this all about herself, but we both know that in the end all will be well.

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...
