Prayer of Thanks!
« on: September 28, 2011, 10:48:03 PM »

Often we pray and ask for things, and forget to thank God when we get them!

This may seem silly to some, but, for me this was enormous!

I have had a plumbing issue for WEEKS...okay, months!  I am afraid of plumbing, because water can so quickly make such a mess.  My house is old, the pipes are old and I swear the shut off valves are prehistoric and don't turn!

However, the issue has truly inconvenienced my elderly mom, and this evening, out of the blue, I took my tools, bucket, towels and necessary apparatus and went to work.

When I turned the water off as much as my strength allowed, and it was squirting all over the place, I sent a desperate prayer for help, turned a bit more....and it slowed to a manageable drizzle, allowing me to do the actual "work".

I know 100% I could never have done this on my own.  I had the most remarkable help....and the task I've been putting off (out of fear) for months, I accomplished in less than 30 minutes.

God, I cannot ever, ever thank You enough for Your help, in this task and for every thing I do in this life!

Glory be to God, now and always and forever, and ever and ever and ever!!!!

THANK YOU, GOD!!!!!!!

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Glory to God! I felt the same way when I was able to fix the thermostat myself last year.

I'm glad it seems to be under control! :)

Thanks be to God!
My only weakness is, well, never mind

And you'll sleep, but they'll find you

Come back my dream into my arms, into my arms

London is drowning, and I live by the river

Glory to God!
To God be the Glory in all things! Amen!

Only pray for me, that God would give me both inward and outward strength, that I may not only speak, but truly will; and that I may not merely be called a Christian, but really be found to be one. St.Ignatius of Antioch.Epistle to the Romans.

We can never be too thankful.

Glory to God!
“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either.” +Luke 6:27-29
