First, I am an inquirer and have not entered the catechumenate yet.
I ask your prayers because after a lifetime of struggling with chronic, clinical depression, codependent relationships, and other such nastiness which is too much to enumerate, I have found my way to the doors of Orthodoxy and have been attending regular services at my local parish. I do not delude myself that this path will change my past or miraculously fix my life, but rather I move in the hope and belief that I have actually found Life, of which what has gone before is not worthy of the name. I ask your prayers that I may find life worthy of Life.
Please pray for me, a sinner among sinners.

Thank you all sincerely for your kindness. It just occurred to me that, although I've been some form of Christian for the majority of my life (not including ten years of neopaganism followed by atheism), I've never actually asked anyone to pray for me before. I simply never put any stock into the concept of prayer as such until discovering Orthodoxy.
Again, thank you.

I thought that becoming Orthodox would dramatically change my life; it didn't, but I can see the positive changes that have happened since my baptism. For me at least, it is an ongoing struggle, but well worth it. I am only mentioning this because I think some seekers hope that everything will be wonderful when they enter the Church and become discouraged easily when they find their problems are still with them. For me, Orthodoxy is a lifelong journey, along the lines of one day at a time. Looking back, I can see the progress that (with God's grace), I have made. Welcome to the Church, work the program (praxis), and stay the course.
