and i am going to call bull on that, on the basis i know what it is Yeah, it isn't. My dad retired from the Marine Corps in 2001, after 20 years. At one point, not too long I suppose, after he and my mom divorced, he was stationed in Japan (in fact, we - my sisters, mom, and I - were about to move to Japan to join him when he called my mom and said he wanted a divorce). For my birthday, or something else (it's been a lot of years, I don't recall exactly), he sent me a couple of things one of which was Pokemon Green version. Unfortunately for me, it was all in Japanese. Fortunately for me, I had played enough other Pokemon games to have a basic understanding of what to do, even though I didn't understand any of the words - though I never did finish Green version, or really get that far. However, I did in fact own a copy of it, at one time. |

Why when I was a kid we had proper cards, like Topps and Upper Deck with famous athletes not cartoon characters. I'd walk in the snow barefoot, uphill both ways, to the gocery store to buy then for 25 cents a pack; even came with stale bubble gum to gave me sustinance for the long walk back.
You kids today with your "ipods" and your "internets" just wouldn't understand. And another thing, stay off my lawn!

Why when I was a kid we had proper cards, like Topps and Upper Deck with famous athletes not cartoon characters. I'd walk in the snow barefoot, uphill both ways, to the gocery store to buy then for 25 cents a pack; even came with stale bubble gum to gave me sustinance for the long walk back.
You kids today with your "ipods" and your "internets" just wouldn't understand. And another thing, stay off my lawn!
Hey, I bought Topps and Upper Deck too, with basketball players. I had boxes of them under my bed, for goodness knows what reason, since none of my friends liked sports the way I did. Hoarder much? All this basketball business is making me question if that "wondering" during HS didn't more truth to it. |
