This past Friday in Kansas City, Missouri, the rock band Foo Fighters were all set to play a scheduled concert. The Westboro Baptist Church, led by Fred Phelps and known for their provocative anti-gay placards, held a protest. The Foo Fighters, in turn, protested right back.

From the article:
Quote
Band members jumped onto a flatbed truck, sporting costumes they wore in a recent video parody, parked across the street from the protest, and sang "Hot Buns," CNN affiliate KSHB reported.

Whew, I'm glad someone finally has the guts to stand up to those mean people!

It might not make them better as a band (though their rendition of Down in the Park wasn't half bad), but nonetheless, good show, boys.  Good show.

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.

Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.

I live in the KC metro area, Westboro-they so get my gander up!    While I don't like the Foo Fighters style of music, they get a thumbs up from me. Kind of wished I had been down there in the Power and Light district to see it !(And I hate that entertainment district)

Grin I know.  Way to take on a tiny and almost universally despised group.  That takes some gumption.  I wonder if they're anti-cancer as well. Heroes they are.
