[An excerpt from a letter from Archbishop Gregory of the ROAC] We made inquiries and learned that all the money that was on him, in the amount of almost $100,000, was taken away. He was escorted back to Russia by two Russian security officials from the airline "Aeroflot." If he returns to America, he will have to appear in court to defend himself. We were told that it may be up to 10 years before the Metropolitan will be allowed to travel within the United States again. The initial police report stated the following: ANATOLY P. RUSANTSOV DOB: MARCH 3, 1939 ALIAS: METROPOLITAN VALENTINE HEIGHT: 6' WEIGHT: 245 lbs WHITE MALE DISTINGUISHING MARKS: GOLD CAPPED TEETH DATE OF ARREST: JULY 3, 2004 [SATURDAY] TIME: 1900 HOURS ENTITY: U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PATROL 1st HEARING: AUGUST 3, 2004 [TUESDAY] WHERE: FEDERAL COURT, NY, NY CRIME: SMUGGLING [Currency, foreign and domestic] -- WOOO!! DUDE! Metropolitan Valentine is a GANSTA !!! He's a Homie! Will this be the schismatic gang wars -- similar to the East Coast/West Coast rapper wars that got Tupac and Biggy iced?? Stay tuned. Same bat-time. Same bat-channel!

DISTINGUISHING MARKS: GOLD CAPPED TEETH
That is of no account. Steel and gold are used in dentristry in foreign countries, (as well as metals still being used in the U.S.). Porcelain is the best choice (for appearance, and no leaching of metals into the body system), but can be prohibitively expensive. Meanwhile, let's not have another egg-tossing thread about ROAC. Either tune them out from your radar, or pray for them! Go to the Indiana List if you want insults. 4Truth

Porcelain is the best choice (for appearance, and no leaching of metals into the body system), but can be prohibitively expensive. Oh! That's why! Wow! I am glad you told me this! I SERIOUSLY thought he was a Gangsta!!!!!!!!!!! I feel much better now that I know 4truth! I mean, I was afraid we would see him in a Snoop-Dog video. He already has the gold chains and all! I was afraid he'd be like all pimpin' behind the Dog rappin - "Yo! That Colorad bi* disrespecting the Met. Talkin' all Canon's and sh*. So I had to pop the Bi* to teach him that this Met is phat" That would really reflect badly on the Metropolitan and ROAC in general. Meanwhile, let's not have another egg-tossing thread about ROAC. Either tune them out from your radar, or pray for them! Go to the Indiana List if you want insults.
Why go to the Indiana list when you can get it all here?

What is the purpose of this information being made available here, in what way does it tell us anything? There have been several television programmes and articles published here in the UK which have raised questions about just how visitors to the USA may be treated.
Combatting terrorism is one thing but the sometimes questionable treatment of visitors is another. The leaking of information by an official in this case just more raises questions about the system, than a solitary visitor to the States.
(America and Americans: you are wonderful. The administration and your welcome to visitors sells you short, folks).

This was not a leak. Arrest records are public information. This part of text came from a letter written by Archbishop Gregory explaining his postion to the ROAC faithful under his dominion. Full text is here: http://www.euphrosynoscafe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2757

There is a useful footnote under Tom's name, the first line of which he might reread.

I fail to see how Tom is "judging" anyone. He's merely trying to inject some humor into this whole mess, which, like it or not, that's exactly what the whole ROAC in America situation is...a mess.
Or perhaps you think St. Lawrence was out of line when he told his tormentors to turn him over, as he was quite done on that side.

I also fail to see how Tom is judging the Metropolitan, ROAC, or anyone, really. I personally got a hearty laugh out of the 'gangsta' comment, but, hey, I don't know how or why the ROAC situation is a mess. Of course, I also enjoy the Onion Dome and get a laugh out of it at times. Was there being Metropolitan rappers in Ninetenth-Century Russia? IS OUTRAGE!!!! Josh

And to envision it coming from a bearded, Orthodox hierarch...

If Met. Valentine is a gangster, then so are 50% of the people over age 50 here in Moscow. Gold and silver teeth are pretty common.
