The Walking Dead season finale...
The Good
- When I saw the title for the episode I feared that it was going to be a 40 minute long skirmish in the pitch black "tombs". Thankfully the scenes there were very limited.
- Andrea is dead. I didn't hate her character. Not as much as I hate Carl anyway. But it was time for her to go.
- For the first time, in any season, Carl did something I liked. That kid fleeing the prison had it coming. Though Carl shouldn't have tried to weasel out when explaining what happened.
- The Gov survived. Good. Hopefully that'll set up a nice death for him in the mid-season finale this fall.
- Rick seems to no longer be crazy. Or at least he no longer sees his dead pregnant wife, which is a step in the right direction.
- Michone.
- The Woodbury storyline was resolved. For the most part. I've seen a lot of complaints about how it was resolved, but frankly I liked how it went down. I thought the Woodbury army standing around waiting to be slaughtered by one man was silly, but other than that I liked it.
The Bad
- Norman Reedus said on Talking Dead that Daryl was going to become cold and distant again. That sucks. I guess Tyreese can step up as Rick's go-to guy.
- Sad to see Milton go. I would have loved to have seen what he could have done in better circumstances.
- So if Tyreese and the woman hadn't decided to stay in Woodbury... no one would have been guarding the gates?
- This has been discussed a lot already around the web, but the Andrea scenes were strange for there unrealism.
The Ugly
- Carl delivering the "just go" line to rick. Ugh.
- As though they didn't have enough people to protect and care for and feed, now they brought in 2 dozen elderly folk. Hopefully that doctor from Woodbury made it at least.
