Started watching Sophia, about Sophia Paleologue, the Byzantine Princess who marries Prince Ivan III of Moscow. The costumes, sets, and actors are all top-notch and really lovely. There's a lot of switching between Rome and the court in Moscow. The unionist Patriarch/ cardinal Bessarion plays a big role in the first episode. The show is produced by the Russian ministry of culture and likely has a strongly propagandistic slant, but, hey, so did Eisenstein's films, so this might not be bad.
