Just found the International shows tab on Hulu, and surprisingly, there are quite a few good animal rescue shows. Watched 'Australian Animal Rescue' tonight.  Smiley

True Detective  what an amazing show! It kept my roommate and I on the edge of our seats. The acting, directing and cinematography were phenomenal! I highly recommend watching this who. Currently season one is only 8 episodes long.

Since I'm almost done with House I started watching Star Trek: The Next Generation again, and am up to episode sixteen of the first season. Wesley is less annoying and more sympathetic than I remember, Picard more grumpy, Worf funny earlier in the series than I remembered, and Q just as cool. Also, I heard Data use a contraction in one of the early episodes...

Black Jesus on Adult Swim is the funniest show to come along in the past year or two. My only beef with the show is that its only 30 minutes instead of an hour.

To be honest its the one of the best representations of Jesus in TV or film I ever saw. Beyond the crude humor and swearing, I find a Jesus that is caring, loving, wise and very deep with his message. In my eyes there is also wink and/or tongue in cheek goings on that this man is not really Jesus. In my opinion its the second best portrayal of Jesus outside of "The Passion of the Christ".

I will be the first to suggest that its not everyone's cup of tea. I can see where the people who loathe the show are coming from. But as a non Christan lover of Christ if you seek and read between the lines so to speak, the show is very uplifting.

Wildest Indochina (on Netflix)

Quote
This spectacular series sweeps across the most diverse peninsular in the world. From Malaysia to Southwest China, Vietnam to Cambodia and Thailand this vast area includes outstanding landscapes, historic cities, tropical jungles and armies of animals. With mangroves and mountains, pygmy elephants, turtles and rare birds it is no wonder that the word ‘mega-diverse’ is now attributed to parts of the region.

...I no longer consider the Lwaxana episodes to be unwatchable; now they are merely unpleasant to me. I also find the series overall to be slightly less cheesy and gaudy than I had thought it was the last time I went through the show.

Breaking Bad

Ridiculous show. I found the first two seasons watchable, as silly as it was. But it got incredibly absurd after that.

"Bates Motel". Only one season with ten episodes so I figured I'd start watching. That and it had that gorgeous chick from the new Transformers movie. She outdoes Megan Fox.

It's all about the shape of the face. Proportion: high forehead, good cheek bones, an aquiline nose, full lips. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder in a limited sense. Being in love might be in the eye of the beholder because a person can be in love with an unattractive person, but when it comes to beauty everyone must admit, if they are honest, one woman or man is more beautiful than another. Here I say we have a face that could sink a thousand ships. It's a reason worth watching a show. Seriously though I did mean to watch it when I saw it advertised but so many other things on TV. It's on Netflix now. It's a rather interesting, well written adaptation of Norman Bates before "Psycho"

If they sank, it's only because that country's Navy was already terrible and probably deserved burial at sea.

Sure she's pretty and all, but does she even theologize?

Apparently her father is a Jew and a prominent one, so we have to be careful with anything other than lusting after her. Russian Jewry nonetheless! How can she theologise unless she goes back to the true faith of her paternal Russian ancestry and renounces the secret socialist agenda of her paternity.

Just started to watch 'Star Trek: the Next Generation' on Hulu. It is amazing how cheap the set looks, in retrospect. Not counting the actors' salaries, I think they spent about $200 on the control room.

I'm planning to start TNG at some point too (Netflix has it). Only thing is that I haven't gotten ahold of ST IV and ST V yet, and I think I might prefer to continue going "in order".
