Watching old episodes of Coach on Netflix.  I was a very little kid when the show aired but still remembered it and man it is hilarious.

My wife roped me into watching "Reign" for the last couple of months  which just had it's season finale.

It has Mary Queen of Scots living with the French Royal Family who has designs on England and surrounding intrigues..

If youre a history buff...or have any interest in history.... or can spell the word...Your head may explode

Then I figured out that they don't care one whit and that it is all an excuse for a soap opera.

All production budget goes into the women's hair and costumes.  This is one good lookin bunch of actors and truth be known the quality of acting is very high. It's really a big goof, something like Dallas except less realistic Smiley. The actors say they are having a great time on the show... I have become hooked...pray for me

The same old but the end of Hannibal was great tonight! I don't want to wait until next year! I'm waiting for SVU to come back on new episodes on NBC. I have a love-hate thing for Law and Order: SVU. The original Law and Order reruns are great, too. I love the dialogue on there. So forced but so great. I love Det. Briscoe's witty way of talking--it's so corny, all of it and yet so fun to watch. Just so forced. It's like they were trying to moralize or something through the show. Or be overdramatic at least.

I have started watching Kodiak on Discovery Channel. Watching them hunt bears is fun. Siberian Cut looks fun. I just hope it's not blatantly anti-Russian. I watched an Anthony Bourdain special where he was in Russia just before the Olympics and the whole show was political. All anti-Putin and giving sympathy to the liberals. Which might have been fine for fifteen or twenty minutes. But then they wanted to go to meet some homosexuals and go on and on about how evil Putin is and how bad Russia is since, such a police state, and how free America is. Still I like watching Anthony Bourdain but this was just worthless. I am hoping this Siberian Cut with a bunch of American loggers in Russia is not political.

So I got Netflix again just recently, hoping for some new content. Nope... so far seems to be the same stuff I watched 2 months age (or whenever it was). I like dinosaurs and black holes as much as the next guy, but after seeing a show for the 5th time it starts to get old. If they would put 'How It's Made' back on there all would be forgiven though.

I'm thinking Tyrion is going to escape somehow- I cannot comprehend a GoT without him. But I really really liked Oberyn, and was hoping he'd make it. He freaking won! That's what monologuing will get you. Wink

That is what I said about Ned Stark in season one and then sat in stunned disbelief at the end of that season.

Sidenote: I am pretty sure I am going to really hate Sansa by the end of the season.

Word. And then of course the Red Wedding, although Oberyn dying feels worse to me than that somehow. Not worse than Ned, but the Red Wedding, I mean.

Yeah... She's never been my favorite. I'm glad to see her be a bit more cunning and less helpless, but Littlefinger is a freak. Arya though, is hilarious.

Arya is the best in the entire show.  I really didn't have all that strong of an opinion on Oberyn, it seemed like it was just a storyline manufactured for this season, so I expected something like that would happen.  I was devastated by the Red Wedding.  That was just tragic.

Well then to quote Leonard McCoy "Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor not a bricklayer!"

(When I was in college in the 90s, I heard "He's not dead yet" countless times -- usually with the voice going up or down at each syllable -- but years later I finally watched the actual movie. "He's not dead yet" isn't even in there, it's "What's this? He says he not dead.")

I thought we were discussing Tyrion.  I love that guy.  I really didn't care too much one way or another for Oberyn, but that was a NASTY way to go.

As I recall, the actual quote is: I'm not dead yet...  I think I'm getting betta'

When I watch that I wonder what the suspects think about having not only the cops on them, but a camera crew filming it all. "Dude, I'm going to be on Cops!" Do they like it? Can they stop the filming as a right or only have their face blocked out.

Anyone been watching that new hospital drama on NBC I think it is..."The Night Shift". Pretty good. Never watched Grey's Anatomy but it seems to be the one to replace it. They've got a good storyline and character development.

MacGyver

Looking back... this show was often horribly horrible. I can't or won't even attempt to watch 90% of the episodes on Netflix.

Having said that, I cannot deny the religious role Mac played for me. He was my Pope. My spiritual father. My elder. Even though I was a dittohead obliviousasbricks conservative, nonetheless MacGyver was my teacher in the school of cheesy morality and inventivnessingenuity. He was more cool than the Fonz and had the hair to match. Not even Murdoc (thrice-cursed be his name!) could slow Mac down. My soul was formed during these years, or perhaps it's just that my body was ensouled with MacGyverlike zazz. May God help me be more like him every day, till I finally acquire that Macgyver-phronema we are all searching for! Amen.

man that owner was really upset!!! I can kind of see his point but I really wonder if it wasn't always like that  Huh

Anyway I pretty much only watch hockey, bowling, and the news, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune these days.

Yeah the race was sad. I really wanted California Crome to win but that owner was a bit drunk I think and wrong in what he said. I know he was upset but calling the other guy a coward because he did not race in all three races is out of place. He won fair and square. Yeah, he was really upset. I did not expect him to be angry, but sad. He was mad!

I like the horse, but California Chrome was just not a good enough horse to win the Triple Crown. His times on the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness were ok, but definitely not earthshattering.

I'm afraid I missed that interview, but I'm sure I'll get a chance to see it. (It's not on the net yet, but then it's only been a few hours.) I did see Costas interview the other owner.
