Do they try to hide their naughty bits from each other--I mean, is that a "dramatic" element of the show, or are they usually just resigned to the idea that it's best to just ignore that part of it and get on with things?

Non issue so far. They are hungry and tired. Eventually they cover up some with leaves  or what not.

I've started rewatching stargate and was waiting for that one episode wherein they deal with Christianity and it didn't dissapoint to be a terribly unoriginal non thought provoking episode.
Thank you.

I recently started watching Under the Dome because it's available on Amazon Instant Video. I've gotten through the first three episodes, which is more than I thought I would.  I've been kind of sucked into it. Don't know if anyone else is watching it, but I have a good feeling because it's based on a Stephen King novel, though I'm apprehensive because a lot of movies/TV shows based on Stephen King books don't always do justice to the work.  I remember reading once where Stephen King bought the rights to Stanley Kubrick's THe Shining because he hated it so much.

Breaking Bad was intense. Also, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is pretty funny.

Indeed. I'm glad they didn't let Hank's investigation of Walt simmer for several episodes. Also, those shots of Walt and Hank in the garage? Those were beautiful. Am I allowed to say that some dude's eyes and face look beautiful? Well anyway they were.

I will say, though, that if I hear once more that Walt is still a sympathetic character I'm going to kill someone.

Agreed. Dean Norris deserves some kind of award for that last scene alone.

Always Sunny is one of the funniest shows on TV. But they switched from the FX channel to FXx and I am not sure we get it.

Big Brother update:

Aaryn has played the best come back game in BB history. She may win. Her racist comments are going to haunt her forever. Good thing she is so good looking..

Helen is smartest and controls several people, she will probably win if you force me to bet right now.

Amanda or McCrea could win depending on some luck.

Gena Marie is a longshot.. She is dumb as a box of rocks but she has a certain appeal. The chips may fall her way. Nick whom she is obsessed with and was voted out early needs to either get a restraining order or sit back and enjoy once she gets out of the game.

The rest are all floaters of one sort or another and will get the boot in due time.

There's an FXx? I guess I haven't been paying close attention; although I do remember when FX had all those commercials about the fact that they have a logo.

As I watched Burn Notice tonight, and I felt for some reason drawn to the camp of James and Sonya, despite their wicked, dastardly, and thrice-dastardly deeds, I had an inkling of understanding of people who sympathize with Walter White of Breaking Bad. Just an inkling, but something was there. Now Walt has always been an a**hole. I don't care how many times Vince Gilligan repeats the line about how the entire premise of the show is to take a decent and good man and turn him evil. The fact is that, whatever the intentions of the creator of the show, we never saw a good Walt. Starting in the first season we saw a vindictive, petty, Walt. We saw a Walt who was not good, but simply beaten down by the storms of life. The second Walt had any real control over his life his real side came out. Power did not corrupt in the case of Walt, as it almost never does in tyrants. Power does not corrupt, it enables, it facilitates.

I was willing to give Walt a pass with the first killing. Call it self defense. The second one was a bit more difficult to accept, as it clearly was not self-defense, but rather self-interest. But even then I was perhaps willing to look past it. Ironically the turning point for me was an incident rather small when compared to killing someone. When Walt blew up the car of the "Ken wins" guy, that's when I knew who Walt really was. When Walt later treated the grey matter girl like crap, I knew. When Walt murdered Jane--not "let her die" !! No, when he murdered her--I knew. When he manipulated Jesse for the first time and for the hundred and first time, all the while willing to kill people, even innocents, I knew. I suppose I should have known from the beginning. The dude thought cooking meth was a great way to make a quick buck.

I am not off track. Or maybe I am. I loathe Walt. I love Breaking Bad, but I loathe the main character. I did not understand in the slightest the sympathy people still have for him, after all this time. Then tonight I had an inkling. Admittedly, Sonya is nice to look at, and James is a cool character, but that's not it. Their organization is clearly evil, despite what they claim, in tactics if not necessarily in philosophy at all times. I almost don't mind the evil though. Perhaps it's because Michael is conflicted, which gives me a foothold. Mike is clearly upset, yet his going along with some of this seems to me to be more than just doing the job to save all his friends. And maybe I wish he'd stay with the organization and there'd be another season, ha. Well maybe. Where was I going with this? I need a blog...

Major Crimes

Catching up on it. They showed, with most of the body off screen, a young woman being suffocated with a pillow by someone. Quite unexpected. I can watch gore and violence up the wazoo in horror and action movies, bit I was quite startled, and even a little disturbed, by this.

A British police show called 'The Bill.' I like it a lot. Sort of a forerunner to 'Law and Order' and some of the other cop shows. Began in the early 80s. I'm watching year 1 on DVD.

Until then I'm catching up on the Project Runway episodes I've missed the last few weeks. The Russian Sandro stormed out and got eliminated... strange.

I recently started watching Under the Dome because it's available on Amazon Instant Video. I've gotten through the first three episodes, which is more than I thought I would.  I've been kind of sucked into it. Don't know if anyone else is watching it...

I guess it's just you and me.  I was flipping channels and saw a cow getting bisected.  That was enough to get me hooked.  :)

I saw a person get bisected in a sci-fi-horror-movie once. It was a crappy movie to the 11th degree, but that single scene/special effect of the person getting split almost made it worth watching.  :police:

EDIT--to add, I guess getting cut in half isn't completely unique, but this was very clean and quick, it was some tentacle or lashing out or whatever, and at first the person didn't even know they were cut in half, and then... slowly... they realized... oh crap... and then plop, they fell apart.

Big Brother Live Feed (spoilers so dont read if you dont want to be ahead of the game)

Amanda and McRae are in the cat bird seat. Amanda won veto... Game wining move

Aaryn is in real danger of leaving to which I say

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo........................0000...ooooo

Amanda needs to go to Elyssa and make a deal. She should ask her to put up Spencer when McRae goes off the block and this time really vote him off in order to save Aaryn.

In return, they will keep her safe next week so at least she gets one more week of life.. In a hard bargain Elyssa could insist on Andy rather than Spencer..  Otherwise, Amanda will oust her next week. Amanda has enough votes under her control at this point to do as she pleases.

Pic of Aaryn..............hey, I'm only human

Tons of episodes of 'Midsomer Murders,' on Netflix streaming.

Watching it is a bit like comfort eating. Rural southern England with a murder rate to equal Detroit, or so it seems. Escapism and quaintly gentle with it.

I watched the first episode of Cutthroat Kitchen earlier. It wasn't bad. I don't know if I liked it enough to watch it at the time/day it airs, but if I'm bored I might watch an episode here or there. Also, it's hosted by Alton Brown, which is always a good thing.

Another good episode of Breaking Bad. Not nearly as good as last week, but then that would be impossible.

However, I must say, the volume thing with this show is killing me. The loudest I ever have my TV volume up to (according to how I have it set up) is at about 22. I don't need more, and I don't want more. And usually without a fan blowing the high teens is more than adequate for all sorts of programming. But with Breaking Bad I routinely have to push the volume up to like 32 or 33. There will be these low whispers, and not even whispers but even just low talking, and it will of course be some of the most important lines of the episode, so I need the volume way up. Then in the next scene someone is yelling or tires are screeching or something and it's WAY too loud.

I know, I know, first world problems. People in Podunkland don't complain about such volume problems when they're watching Breaking Bad on Sunday nights. They just take it like champs. Or maybe their HDTVs are better?  ???

Tonight I'm watching the cuttlefish episode of 'Nova.'
