Can I just say for me, the most anticipated part of the upcoming episodes of  Fear the Walking Dead is which one of these lame, clueless people gets eaten first!  I love me some good post-apocalyptic sci-fi, but either these are really what most modern Americans are like, or they are just too stupid for their own long-term survival.  I think I'd be more entertained if this were Fear the Walking Dead with the Kardashians.  I'll still be watching next week anyway.  A good zombie train wreck show  is still better than Dancing with the Stars.  (My bet on first to go? Crushed leg/barber's wife)

I'm just not seeing the sister go first.  The producers seem to wait a bit before breaking up a nuclear family.  I think she's good at least through season 2 (if there is a season 2).  I should rephrase my original question - "who do I want to get eaten first" not "who do I think will get eaten first"  I really am not into the Travis character - the guy who who's greatest survival skill so far was fixing a kitchen sink.  I don't think he'll get eaten though.  Who I do think is #2 in line for zombiefication is the ex-wife.  If I were that actress I think I would have seen the writing on the wall as soon as I found out I was the ex-wife in this whole scenario.  She's surplus but she'll do something heroic and sacrificial at the end.

On the spiritual path somewhere between the Simpsons and St. Theophan the Recluse, but I still can't see the Springfield city limits sign yet.

The x wife is certainly a good candidate...But I wonder if they will push polygamy as a sub theme?

And on the very first episode, apart from being plunged into a two-parter, we got two new monsterthingamajiks, a couple of old stalwarts, and an axe fight. The season is looking to go very well. ;D

Blue Bloods. The girl I was in love with in high school got me into it. She's angelic I must say. I was asking her her picks on the election the other night. She tells me her picks, and then so sweetly and earnestly, she says, "Your thoughts? I value them :-) " This was on Facebook. You have to know her to understand this was just not a sort of "think you say" about valuing someone's faults. A true angel. A cheerleader nonetheless. So sweet, so humble, so good natured. So she got me into the show though. Nymph, in thy orisons be all my sins remembered...

My opinion? It's a bit sentimental. The scripting is not very good, and the storylines are a bit lacking. Tom Selleck is the best thing the show has to offer. It's becoming tedious at times, but I give it a 7/10 on IMDB. I hate how Danny is some sort of hero for intimidating witnesses and violating the 4th amendment. "I want my lawyer." "Oh, well, that's okay. I guess you are going to Sing Sing for life." (he is scaring them into talking). He does it all the time. It's glorified. But that;s bordering politics. If nothing else how unrealistic that is. That would not be allowed. Maybe once, they suspend him or something. But over and over? Fired. But it's entertaining enough I guess. The acting is lacking. Selleck is great, the little girl with the short hair is a talented actress, the DA is a good actor, but it's too close to Law and Order SVU. But like SVU, it's somehow fun to watch.

Doctor Who last night consisted of more repetitoon of the tired "oh how miserable am I for being immortal!" theme.  All in all a ringing endorsement of the benefits of Orthodox soteriology.

The First 48. The first season is one Netflix. First episode was in Louisville. Guy kills two parents  in front of their two children who were like three and five. I love the show though. It's interesting. Not the children thing, but seeing detectives do their jobs. You learn their methods are not as dramatic as on TV. It's rather passive.

Yeah, it's a really good show. Very depressing, but fascinating nonetheless.

I thought was as good as the last season of Mr. Show which is to say, pretty bad.

I honestly barely cracked a grin. Oh well.

Finally watched the Bones finale (or mid-season finale? I dunno...) . Better than I figured it'd be. Glad they didn't write Aubrey off, but are they going to do a thing where two nerd girls fight over him now? *shrugs* Wanted to watch Ash Vs. Evil Dead, but I don't have Starz or whatever it was on. Guess I'll have to buy it eventually. Nothing but Football till February now, meh...

BTW when Tim and Eric had their contest for the Rolos commercial, my friends submitted this one.

DJ Douggpound gave a reply video rejecting it but IMO it was superior to what they ended up going with.

Elementary, which is basically House with the pacing of a network police procedural. It’s not very good, and the addiction talk is often quite wrong. I'm holding out that it gets better in the second half of the first season.

I know it's not terribly discerning, but I enjoyed the first season of Jessica Jones.

Tried to watch Mozart in the Jungle. Sounded interesting and got good reviews. But I couldn't make it through the pilot. Pretty bad.

Watched "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries" today. An episode from the second season.

Santa was good to me! I got lots of cool DVDs: Doctor Who, season 9 part 1, Worricker - the whole series, in a PBS edition for less than a third of what it costs to order the same from the BBC, and Broadchester season 2.   ;D

Downton Abbey. I never thought I would like this show, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Good acting, good plots, despicable characters, good costumes. I am already on season 3.

The 4400. Not a good show. Apparently it ended because of the writer's strike. Well, I support any strike that spares us crap like this.
