AFL Footy show

You're lucky, where I live they don't have it on cable very often. I can't wait to get a new place and order all the international and sports channels! Smiley

I loved the line about Nebraska surviving because there was a low population and lot's of guns!  I was thinking, "hey, they might run into us!"

I've found myself at very sleepy hours of the evening watching this show, but is only because I detest ALL commercial television as simply pestering and annoying and so one-way-or-the-other I find my TV tunes to PBS, good or bad, come what may..

Its a bit too British for me but the production, acting, set design, and costumes are fabulous, and I'm a sucker fro historical drama when it is so well produced.

I have been watching Exosquad on Hulu since I finally upgraded to FiOS, and now my mind can mush to less than educational distractions Wink

It may be that they are getting many new viewers and didnt want to gross them out too much right out of the gate.

It takes a few episodes to learn duck and cover techniques. You can sense when something disgusting is coming and cover your eyes or get under the covers.
Sometimes they will quick cut into something you would rather avoide just to blind side you.

Tuesday Bachelor Review:

Final pick was disappointing. Does he really like the mousey brunette with the boob job?

He should have kept Rachel ( the blonde from NY). ......She will do just fine finding someone else I am betting .

Courtney........ What a handful. She was on the cover of People Magazine this week.

I get her appeal but he will spend his life reassuring her about how beautiful she is and worrying that she is cheating on him.

 Welcome to Hell .

Last night I got brain-numbed with Lost Girl. . . don't think I'll be going back, tho, as much as I love fae-tales.  That was just a little too erotic eh. . .human. . . for me.

I found some Cadefael from the first season that I'm going to whip up and watch - I haven't seen them in years. . .and really enjoyed them.

Oh, I loved Cadfael; the books, too. "Lost Girl" does get a bit risque, though I'm getting sick of the predictable nature of the storyline of each episode rather than that.

Lately, I've been watching Warehouse 13.

Meh, I didn't care for it. As a Trek fanatic, it threw some questions into the canon for me. However, all vulcans should look like that:

Yeah, it's a pity the Vulcan withheld their advancements in catsuit-engineering from us. Admittedly, I only know enough about Trek cannon to make my non-nerd friends get annoyed, but the series could conceivably occur in the alternate timeline that would have been created by First Contact going by the rules of time travel stated by Star Trek XI's screenwriters. Of course, Star Trek XI sucked, but I can still enjoy Enterprise on its own merits. How would you rank the series-es?

Every time I watch this show, the cast seem dumber and dumber with a few exceptions.  I hope short hair and the Boondock Saint work things out.  They are two of the characters I actually like.  Them and the Asian kid and Claire Daines.  Otherwise, unless Rick, Shane, and wife start pulling their heads out of their bottoms, they won't be invited to Nebraska.

I'm a hopeless romantic, and loved the final scene!   Grin

I just love Dame Maggie Smith....and her portrayal of the Dowager Countess of Grantham.  She delivered some of the best one-liners!

When she heard that the turkish visitor had died the night before:
"Last night! He looked so well. Of course it would happen to a foreigner. No Englishman would dream of dying in someone else's house."

..or when she almost falls out of a swivel chair (which she's never seen before) and is told it's an American invention:   "Why does everyday involve a fight with an American?"

I could go on and on....

She had me in stitches.

I tend to agree. Next Generation is a terrible show... once you've seen 10 episodes you pretty much can predict the plot for all the remaining ones.

Likewise.  To me Star Trek is Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scottie, Chekov, Sulu, Ohura, and Ensign Red Shirt.  Everyone else just wish they were one them.  Except maybe Ensign Red Shirt.

Picard was pretty smart, and I know Kirk could be a pinhead sometimes, but nobody beats Spock. And Ohura.

You had me confused there for a sec ... then I realized that Final Frontier is # 5, the one that I never saw.

Started a watch-through of Star Trek: Enterprise last night. Easily the most underrated series, although I do detest that theme song.
I agree with you up till the fourth season.

Interesting. I haven't started season 4 yet -- I finished season 3 a few weeks ago, then decided to take a little break before starting season 4.

The song changed a bit for season 3. Less annoying, I think. (I guess That person here hasn't seen season 3 yet, so I won't say anything about the story line.)

Meh, I didn't care for it. As a Trek fanatic, it threw some questions into the canon for me. However, all vulcans should look like that:
