So here's a question I have about that there show called The Walking Dead. If I understand/remember correctly, it was established in the first season that when someone dies that all brain function stops. Then, when they come back, there is very limited and rudimentary activity at the base of the brain (I forget the term for the region), but very little activity elsewhere. I'm curious then, if this is so, why does damage anywhere to the head seemingly cause immediate and unstoppable deaths? Even living humans can suffer serious injuries to the brain and, with luck, survive. Some people have even lost huge chunks of their brain and still lived fairly normal lives. Yet these zombies take something like an arrow to the edge of the head and their toast every time? Thoughts? Is it just something you accept and go along with? Or am I missing something?
