When in doubt, say: "you lack the proper φρόνημα"

« on: September 01, 2011, 05:02:08 PM »

Most Christians today have a screwed up understanding of what the soul is. Most Christians today have Greek dualist views of the soul and body, of the spiritual and material. Most Christians today are Modalists and Nestorians one moment, Tritheists and Apollinarians the next. What sheeple. And where do all these heresies come from, all these divisions and problems?

The Greeks.

So let’s cut out all that Greek crap, right? Because that’s where it went wrong. For example, we don’t need that Origen Adamantius guy, he really amped up the paganism in Christianity. Even the Greek pagan “Christians” got rid of that Origen guy. And that Constantine guy, too. He legalized all the pagan Christians and killed off all the Jewish Christians.

Good riddance.

All those Church Fathers and Mothers meant well, but they hopelessly cut out all of the pure Jewish Christian doctrines and replaced them with Pagan ones. Like Augustine of Hippo, Gregory of Nyssa, those guys were neoplatonists and gnostics. Apocatastasis? Hum. Celibacy? Ho! We don’t need any of that junk.

Good riddance.

No... that’s right... What really started the Paganization of Christianity was that Justin Martyr guy. He talked about all these rituals and the Eucharist not being a group meal anymore, and he sucked up to the Emperor of Rome at the time. What a sell-out. It started with him.

Good riddance.

Oh, snap. It turns out that our “friend” the Apostle Paul was really influenced by a lot of paganism. He calls Christ “the icon of the invisible God” for crying out loud. Not only is that anti-Jewish, it’s simply... gross. How could God be depicted in something physical? That’s now how he would choose to manifest his Messiach Yeshua (Jesus Christ for you folks still trapped in Paganism). And those icon things are totally tacky. He also places way too much emphasis on empty rituals. I mean, how could simply bread and wine make you sick or kill you? He probably put Hemlock in his holy love feast bread and wine to make people believe in the power of the Pagan gods, just like Socrates did.

Good riddance.

Well, well, brothers and sisters. It seems we’ve finally found that rotten branch that Mar-Yeshua ben Joseph cut off long ago after it fell prey to the wiles of Greek Paganism. John, the Author of that Nefarious pseudo-Gospel. He lifts half of his stuff directly from the pagan Greeks: “In the beginning was the Logos and the Logos was with God and the Logos was God”? Do I hear Heraclitus and Philo speaking? And “The Logos became Flesh”. What, are we supposed to believe that Mesiach Mar-Yeshua ben Yosef was the “incarnation” of Plato’s forms or something? And everyone knows the invisible God can’t die on a cross. That’s silly.

Good riddance.

Ah, my perfect flock! Let us glory in the exalted Mesiach of Israel, Mar-Yeshua, who acquired his holy sonship at the symbolic baptism of Mar-John the water-washer, and died on the evil Greek Tau cross for Israel’s transgressions. He may be gone now, but his memory lives on in each of us, and Israel is finally free from the bondage of dietary restrictions.

P.S. That one false prophet, what was his name... Luke, was it? Yeah. He’s a Greek alchemist, and put all this “Son of God” Hercules stuff into the Gospels. He’s out too.

I wonder which is worst:

1. American reconstructionists.
2. European agnostics.
3. Baptized Orthodox in Eastern Europe who rarely darken the doorstep of a Church.

At least 2 and 3 are mostly safely ignored.
