Has any one been listening to his new series on AFR, Mysterion? What do you think of it? I think the "introduction" is a little pretentious, but Fr. Richard gives some awesome sermons. Fr. Richard Rene was my priest for a year or so while living in BC! I always thought he gave excellent, eloquent sermons (as he is also a poet, writer, and high school English teacher). I am going to listen to this right now... |

Fr. Richard was serving as second priest at the local parish where I first started inquiring into the Orthodox faith (and I believe he was newly ordained at the time). His sermon's are some of the best I've ever heard. I'll have to be sure to listen to these.

Actually his Names of Jesus was about as riveting, as well riveting. But his series on the DL . . . He's been listening to me obviously. |

I haven't been listening to AFR either. But this one is worth a listen. Thanks for pointing it out, Volnutt. The "golden chain" of Christian saints that Fr. Richard speaks of makes me think of something philosopher Frithjof Schuon wrote: "Christianity is not a priori a religion, but a mystical brotherhood turned religion."
