Take this test to see if you can tell a criminal from a law-abiding citizen.

Or the Soviet music from the music of the Third Reich. When I was a child, we at our Soviet school were taught to sing the EXACT SAME tune (maybe with slightly different lyrics, I really don't know because I do not know German):

BTW, poster, I CAN with 100% accuracy tell the difference between Abstract Expressionism and ape scrawl.

And pretty much aced all your ridiculous tests. Who wouldn't get Faulkner? Even recognized most of your machine translated German prose and drama.

Please.

Although, I did seem to think all the guys who turned out to be rapists to seem quite congenial. I might want to reconsider some of the guys in my circle of buds . . .

Yes , it is a Russian song from 1905, translated into German in 1918. Later Nazis changed the text, but kept the music

You loath heroic spirit?

No. I loathe a pretentious, messianic, and self-aggrandizing spirit. The spirit of "Blut und Bode" neo-Paganism, manifesting in 1933-45 Germany as the cult of Der Fuhrer, in the 1500's - 1900's Russia as the "Third Rome" theory and practice, in the 1917-1934 Russia as the "World Revolution" cult, in the 1934-2011 Russia as "the best Nation-State in the world with the most heroic past and the most progressive form of democracy" ideas...

You need to know Simkins's background. He comes here with his PanRussian Pagan "Blut und Bode" ideas, which he masks as a brand of "true Orthodoxy." In fact, his philosophy is, "everything Russian is heroic and wonderful and worthy of praise, while everything Western is vile, cowardly and treacherous." He plays these "true or false" games to prove, for example, that randomly picked poetry quotes that might cause admiration in a Western reader and might look like they were written by great poets of the Russian Silver Age were, in fact, written by Soviet Communist poets of the 1930's - 1970's. "Arguing" with him is, of course, useless, because he, like all people with ill mind, is totally irrational, except in his own eyes. Personally, I, rather than "argue" with him, prefer simply to ridicule his insane Paganism.

I just said that Heorhij is a coward. However he believes himself to be an essense of a western man. So he thinks that the whole West was insulted along with him. Since he can advance no objections to my accusation he calls me irrational and having ill mind. This way he avoids painfull self-reflection.

For yet again insulting one of our posters, even after being warned, placed on post moderation, and even muted several times already for such behavior, you are now on post moderation indefinitely, and I am recommending that you be muted again. If you think this action unfair, please feel free to appeal it via private message to Fr. George.

For attacking Simkins personally with this insinuation that he is mentally ill, even though such a diagnosis has nothing to do with the topic of this thread, you are now on post moderation for the next 40 days. Simkins has a history of threads on his own pet opinions or ideas on Russian matters in which he uses insults and sometimes profanity in another language against other posters rather then considering their words.  I got one but since I don't know much Russian it didn't strike me; Heorhij told me that it was quite crude though.

This "test" is supposed to "prove" something about people, probably about dividing them into "superior" and "lesser" intelligences or the like.

Whoa Nelly, look at the context. "I was going with test part".

It was a "translation". It would translate something like I posted. They are words without an agreed upon orthography, since his test is about ostensibly understanding gibberish from not gibberish.

Have Happy Birthday!

See Ebor's post in this thread.

And you said, publicly, on this forum, "long live Stalin!" After that, how can I not think that you have an ill mind...
How does it follow? Can you explain?

Of course I can. Everyone who has a healthy, sane mind realizes that Stalin was one of the worst mass murderers of all times. The totalitarian terror he launched against the peoples of the former Soviet Union killed far more people than Hitler's terror against Jews, Roma, Slavs and all people of all nations the German Army attempted to conquer in the 1930's - 1940's (not counting combat losses, only civilian losses). The so-called "collectivization of the agriculture" took about 10 million lives, then a series of artificial famines in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kuban' etc. took other millions. GULAG camps "ate" about million and a half, by the most modest calculations. Prisons were filled with people locked up without any legal procedure, and most cruel torture was routine. Everyone lived in fear, not knowing whether he or she will be picked up next night and "pulverized," becoming a "non-person."

How can it be explained, taken all that into account, that an adult, rational, educated man living in the 21st century shouts on a public Internet forum, "Long live Stalin?"

Note, I am not saying that you have a psychosis, should be hospitalized or something like this. I am just convinced that your mind is severely affected by some horrible propaganda, by lies that Russian imperialist wackos are trying to feed you and millions of other people.

Whoa Nelly, look at the context. "I was going with test part".

It was a "translation". It would translate something like I posted. They are words without an agreed upon orthography, since his test is about ostensibly understanding gibberish from not gibberish.

Have Happy Birthday!

Sorry for the confusion.
I still don't understand whether you posted in another existing language or created your own gibberish language, so I still need you to clarify this for me.

Do be advised, however, that we are not going to tolerate you (or anyone) posting gibberish and making it mean whatever you want it to say. With the exception of the Foreign Language boards, this is an English-only forum. Anything not posted in English MUST be accompanied by an English translation. If you cannot provide a translation, your post will be removed, and you will be sanctioned accordingly.

Please do not discuss this directive here on this thread. If you have any questions, please raise them in a PM to me, to Fr. George (the global moderator responsible for this section), or to Fr. Chris.

Thank you.

Sogsta dos i eink spein odor moz? ~~ Are you really saying I am full of $***?

This is "German" as rendered in common dialect sound in Southern Bavaria and Northern Austria.

You need to know Simkins's background. He comes here with his PanRussian Pagan "Blut und Bode" ideas, which he masks as a brand of "true Orthodoxy."
You need to know that right in this forum  Heorhij had praised the Black Hundred (Черносотенцы) movement. It was them who introduced the "Blut und Boden" ideals in Russian political discourse in early 20th century. So if you judge farely, I am a far more moderate fascist than Heorhij.

The purpose of this post, however, is not to criticise Heorhij, but to point out that "Blut und Boden" is one of Plato's paradigms. So whatever disagreement Heorhij and I have we can resolve within the frameworks of Platonism.
