A great new Internet bookstore
« on: August 18, 2011, 10:43:41 AM »
Dear friends,

I have had the honor of personally meeting the founder, owner, and director of this new Internet-based bookstore, called "Archee" (Αρχη) - a wonderful young man called Dmitry Shandra. He lives in Kyiv, Ukraine, and studies at a Master's Program in philosophy and theology at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Here's the link to his store on Facebook:

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1444968889#!/magazyn.arhe

They have many great books by Orthodox theologians as well as by other theologians, philosophers, scientists, humanitarians, etc. Contact Dmitry; most books they offer nowadays are in Ukrainian or Russian, but he says they are planning on expanding in the near future.
Love never fails.

There is always a need for another bookstore, especially with good stuff.

Good to see you post. Don't be a stranger.
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Thank you. BTW, Dmitry's thesis advisor and mentor, Dr. Yuriy Chornomorets', has recently published a number of very interesting, challenging articles and books. His last book (in Ukrainian) is called, "Byzantine Neo-Platonism from Dionisios Areopagite to Gennadios Scholarios" (Kyiv, "Dukh i Litera," 2010, 568 pp.). Dr. Chornomorets' is a close friend of several clerics within the "canonical" UOC who form what is sometimes called "the Ukrainian Party" (Archbp. +OLEKSANDR (Drabynko), Archimandrite +CYRIL (Hovorun), Prot. Fr. Heorhij Kovalenko, Prot. Fr. Andriy Dudchenko et al.). They are my friends, too, some via Facebook and others both virtually and in real life.
Love never fails.

I would be happy to agree with you, but then both of us would be wrong.
