my hospital is ringed by areas with riots.
the night shift started very busy but then went quiet as most of the roads are blocked by police.
they want not just to loot but also to fight police, which is why the police are being careful.
one colleague got his car attacked while he was in it trying to drive to work.
he escaped unharmed, thank God.
am finishing shift soon, so will see if it's possible to get home!
usually the bad guys get tired around 5am and go to bed, so it's usually safe to travel by 7.
it's a crazy city, lots of good and evil really doing battle, u can sometimes feel the spiritual tension in the air.
i am glad i lived here, but am moving away soon with work.
can't say i'll miss the stabbings and shootings...

I am living in London, though am in Greece/Bulgaria for the summer. I have a few friends living in the affected neighbourhoods, like Hackney. Rioting and looting has spread beyond London to Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford, Reading, and West Bromwich. Horrible..

All is well with me, thank God. Our bishop lives about a mile from one disturbance.
Now that the police have been instructed to be more visible and more forceful we are hoping that this problem will be kept under control.

hmm... i 'm afraid to say it was just bored teenagers and young aggressive people.
my friend's friend texted her to say he 'felt like going rioting'. she persuaded him not to.
there was no big political message.
thank God, people calmed down.
