For a photo gallerie of images taken from an all night vigil, these from the
Decani Monastery in Kosovo are hard to beat. This is the monastery that
took in Muslim families during the civil war of late there, and protected
them from Serbian troops, who dared not transgress the monastery. They also
took in the troops [as pilgrims]... Their monastery is on the endangered
sites list for 2003, standing alone amid a large Muslim population - Most
Serbian churches there have been destroyed - Pilgrims arrive by military
convoy - Italian troops protect the roads giving access to it...
