Pope Benedict toilet rolls from Spain trouble Vatican ahead of Madrid trip

A hygiene company in Spain has produced special 'Pope Benedict toilet paper' for his much anticipated visit to Madrid for World Youth Day celebrations - although the honour has not exactly been well received at the Vatican.

Manufacturers Ronova released the limited edition loo paper in a bid to cash in on one million young pilgrims expected to travel to Spain for the event.

The gold and crisp white colours come in packs of two and have an 'I love the Pope' logo across its packaging...

Another example of a poorly conceived marketing idea akin to Mike (son of Bill) Veeck's Disco Demolition Night?

I didn't and I know it's off tangent, but isn't homosexuality non-compatible with Judaism?

You've missed a few threads from past years in which Tallitot gives some "constructive criticism" on the Catholic Church, Mother Teresa, etc...  Cool

I wasn't sure what celtic meant, that I'm the only poster that critisizes the Windsors, or that I only critisize them. Of course niether is accurate. And for the record I do not believe in the concept of "royalty" whether it's Betty Windsor, Al Grimaldi or Carl Bernadotte.

In actuality probably only 5% of threads mention homosexuality. Maybe you have homosexuality on your mind, and thus tend to take notice of it any time it's mentioned, and then form a distorted and exaggerated impression as to how often it comes up. Well then, we forgive you anyway, even if your mind is constantly in the gutter.  Tongue  Grin

I just love the fact a gay dude has a problem with royalty. Who wudda thunk.

And yeah, who cares about that irrelevant family?

I don't chime in, cause I don't care, but I love that Tallitot has made them his pet project and so many crypto-monarachists get their chains yanked by him.

Yes that was intentional.

OK, celtic given your general slant around here, what is the worst thing about Tallitot:

1.) He is a Jew.
2.) He is gay.
3.) He is Texan.
4.) He is forever mocking a silly institution.

Frankly, I love the fact he is all four. An odd ball (are they even ones?).

He puts the dic into contradiction. //:=)

EDIT: Tallitot, sorry about outing you for being a Texan.

Because Tallitot said he was gay and I asked if it was compatible with his Judaism...that's me derailing it?

Interesting, btw, for if their were no concept of "Betty Windsor" and her ancestors, they'd be no concept of GB (it was a personal union of theirs for centuries).  Similiarly, no "Al Grimaldi" no Monaco (and the Monégasques have made it clear, they want a country).  The Bernadottes and Sweden I won't defend.

How about ceding coastal CA, at least up to SF, instead?

And we'll throw in NY.
