Favorite place you have ever visited on holiday? Has to be overseas not in your own country. Can be for whatever reason.

My best ever holiday was in the Cook Islands. Tropical island paradise, not too commercial unlike Tahiti or Hawaii, outrageously friendly and entertaining locals, black pearl jewellery and other nice handicrafts (for the wife) and snorkeling in warm, crystal clear lagoons.

Ah, too many to choose.  I'll provide a short list in no particular order:

1)  Florence, Italy
2)  Olympia, Greece
3)  Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany
4)  Canterbury, England
5)  Rome, Italy
6)  Salzburg, Austria
7)  Bern, Switzerland
Cool  Alberta, Canada (good golf courses up that way)
9)  Koeningsee, Germany
10) Salonica, Greece
