I don't really post a lot but I though I would let everyone know I was made a Catechumen last night at Vespers. God has really blessed me a lot since I came to Louisville and I've finally made the next step after an almost 10 year journey. I love to read this board though and probably the best piece of advice that's been drilled into me by this board is "when in doubt, ask your priest!"

Welcome Toraak!
I hope that you will find the Convert Issues forum to be place where you as an inquirer may ask their questions about the Orthodox Faith in a safe and supportive forum. WE try to provide an understanding of the basic teachings and practices of the Orthodox churches. WE try to keep our answers direct and simple with sources if possible.
For those who are converts, this forum is a safe place to discuss issues that arise after one converts in a safe and supportive forum without retribution or recrimination. WE try to avoid jurisdiction debates and you may find a the topic that will be split and sent the appropriate OC.Net forum to continue the discussion or debate if it strays from the guidelines of our Forum Purpose.
Again I want to welcome you warmly to the Convert Issues Forum and hope you will enjoy your time as a member here.
In Christ, Thomas Convert Issues Forum Moderator

Ever since I picked a date to become Orthodox I have felt very blessed. Since you made the annoucement yesterday that you were made a Catechumen you may notice unexpected blessings (or at least I have). I hope you are as excited as I am.

Congratulations and many years!
PS: aside the blessings that will undoubtedly come your way, beware of temptations as the Evil One will try to pry you away from the path.

LOL. No, its not Latin, but merely a typo. I hate when that happens. Thanks for the well wishes!
