The kids are going through Final Fanstasy X on the PS4; one's playing with the other two spectating.
Is any of the above Orthodox?  I have no clue, so there's that.

It was in the original 3:27 post.  I'm just being OCD because what else will I do with my BA?!

Also, Monster Hunter: World has become a family feature.  I'm pretty sure that was downloaded on day 1.  That's probably the #1 series I hear about (all day, every day).  We have 3 copies of MH4 for the 2/3DS (of which we have 4), and one copy of Generations.  But we don't have cable.   :o

Booking Revolution and its more notorious sequel Wrestling Revolution 3D. It's true what they say: Not really "good" but fun anyway.

Even when my promotion loses $300,000 in 4 months and 4 of my wrestlers die from in-ring injuries.  :o

This is mostly because neither I nor the AI are smart enough to figure a way to end the match ASAP

Also running a Universal Paperclips game, though that's more like art than a game.

You are absolutely wrong.

1) mouse/keyboard controls are more precise and refined and expansive than controllers
2) therefore it takes more skill to win with controllers
3) therefore people who win with controllers are more skilled than people who need advanced equipment to win
4) therefore console players are superior to the PC Munster race

They just came out with something for the X Box One, called "Kingdom Come." It's set in the kingdom of Bohemia. Looks really good. I'll probably pick it up tomorrow.

The excellent mobile Civ game, Battle of Polytopia, has just released its multiplayer option. This is an excellent, well-designed and good-looking game. Don't be put off by the fact that it's free- the in-app purchases are finite and consist entirely of unlocking tribes (you start out with four in the free game). Unlocking one tribe (which costs $.99) gives you access to the multiplayer. So far I've been having a blast warring with strangers from around the world.

Sea of Thieves is in my near future.

Well not as near as I thought!  Now it's Vermintide.  Either way, I'm getting a new laptop soon.  :D  Hopefully it will also render my little floor plan program that this one just can't handle (it also can't handle Minecraft).

Recently finished Subnautica. Its a pretty stellar game. Very atmospheric and has some great thrills and scares. However, I find little replay value.

Been playing The Forest lately. Thats quite the experience :o

So does Jim Sterling not do reviews any more? Did he stop doing them after the Senua's Sacrifice thing? I stopped watching his vids on a regular basis because of all the poop-stirring, but with seemingly no reviews and no more greenlight vids is the stirring all he does now?

No, his youtube is still going. Far Cry 5 video posted just yesterday.

I quit watching his stuff because the politics of video games have ruined much of it for me (not that I blame Jim, it's something that needs to be talked about and it's something he's good at addressing. I'm just sick of it). These days I'm very selective in what games I play, and most of the non-Pokemon ones have been ancient DOS games.

I thought I responded to this but I see that I didn't, just wanted to say thanks for pointing it out, not sure how I missed it as I had actually looked at his vids section like 10 minutes earlier :)

So how many companies are going to follow in the footsteps of Bethesda and release AAA games in VR? Even if it's just ports from 2d... I'd love to play a Witcher 3 or Horizon ZD in VR :)

I think Detroit: Become Human might have taken over the first place spot for me in the category of "worst writing/story/ludonarrativity I've seen in a AAA game" (previously held by Fallout 4).

Now that Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee are official, as well as the fact that a core game will be coming in 2019, I guess I ought to get a Switch at some point. On a side note, Pokemon Quest looks like a fun game to download for the iPhone when it comes out in June, and I was pleased to find out that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is coming out for the 3DS.
