Church founders are prayed by their Eastern Orthodox Church for many years, maybe for Centuries.  In Romania is not uncommon to go to Churches built hundreds years ago with founders found on walls , dressed in clothes from centuries ago, Churches that pray today for them even today in 2011.

Protestantism does not pray for the dead ones so out of look here and you don't know if the Protestant Church will be considered Church in heaven where there is true belief.

"For the founders of this holy temple..." Every Liturgy, Vespers and Matins.

And i personally think it is nice that they are not named just "founders" which included all the people who prayed, the people who pysically worked and the people who donated money.
