Saw my ex-girlfriend at Walmart today. Last two times we saw each other it was awkward and sad, so it was nice to see her now that we've both moved on and could just chit chat (sorry Achronos!). Also sort of reminded me why we broke up. Oh well. Smiley

Would you ever get back together with her?  Actually, let that be a general question.  Would anyone get back with an ex?  I have a strict policy of no, never, under no circumstance.

I actually already got back together with her after breaking up, but that was under unusual circumstances. Generally I would be open to it, but if you break up once I would imagine there were good reasons for it, and if nothing significant has changed, then I don't see why it'd work out a second time. Of course there are other relationship arrangements, but that's for another time as this is a "dating" thread.

Why are you so against any possibility of it? Smiley

Like you said, there are reasons the breakup happened.  I believe I am against it so much, because it would hang over my head the entire time.  The Orthodox answer is that I had not died to myself nor she to herself.  It would be doomed from the start, trying to get back together.

You people wouldn't know beauty if she fell out of a tree and landed in your kitchen.

This is a picture of my long deceased heartthrob Roza.  Look at how she handles that rifle.  Imagine how she would do with a mop!

I prefer a less aggressive-looking girl. Michele Lepe would work Cool

What if it was a situation where you got along well but weren't ready at some point to take a chance? For an example, maybe you're in your early 20s, and get together a few months before going off to graduate school across the country, but you aren't willing to possibly screw up your life and attend the local Podunk Graduate School just on the off chance that a college fling turns into something lasting. But then 5 years later you meet the same person, and both of you are done with school and in the same town and looking to settle down or whatever?  Maybe that's not a great example, I dunno, but I guess I'm just asking if there are any exceptions for you.

In this case, that would be fine, because you both recognized you weren't ready for the next step and that maybe neither of you were mature enough.  Upon reuniting and realizing you still care for one another (from a more "grown up" perspective), sure.  Why not?  My break ups were not that pleasant. Such poor taste in women.  No wonder you all need relationship advice.  For your education, I have included a photograph of the most beautiful woman alive . . . period.

Fake red hair... no thank you.

Ugh. This may come into play. After seeing her today, and her mentioning that her living situation isn't very good, she called me tonight. I wasn't able to take the call when she made it, and I haven't called her back... but I'm half afraid she's going to want to get back together.  Lips Sealed

Relationship Tip #129:  it's easier and more enjoyable to make love in a bed than on the floor or the couch. Always keep a bed handy wherever you live.

There is more room on the floor and it makes for a good change of pace at times.  As do desks, tables, chairs, other random pieces of furniture...
