I need to find another girl like the last one I dated. Just someone I have something in common with this time. And similar personalities would be good. And the same outlook//approach to life would be a nice bonus. But other than that, exactly the same.

I'd rather not bring up the last people I dated. Only with one of them did things manage to end well with.

I dunno. I have a lot of white knight in me so I have a hard time saying bad stuff about women (with a few exceptions). I mean real bad, not the stuff I write on here as a joke.

If you, ZZ, were actually a man, would your female counterpart "ZZ" call it "lying"?  :)

I like to think that she's a reasonable sort of person and would see the humor in "massaging the truth". she's looking over my shoulder right now.

I know the whole Texas fake smile, but thus far working with women in Texas has been nothing but a delight.

Maybe I shouldn't have been so hasty dismissing except my first gf did go to college in Texas.

I have an "ex-" who lives in Tex.  She had a great sense of humor.  Very funny lady.

I lived in Houston for 3 years, too.  Ain't the world just a small place!?  I quite liked the accent....but it took a year or so before I could understand anyone  ;D.

I hate trying to discern signals from women. Or maybe she's not sending a signal, in which case I hate deluding myself into thinking she might be. I like the one nurse at my doctor's office. Sometimes she does things that makes it seem like she's interested. Nothing terribly obvious. I could be completely wrong. And I might even take a chance in another context... but what if I'm wrong and ask her out and she says no? If I ask out someone at the bank, or gym, or whatever, and she says no, then that's fine. I move on with my life.  But since I'll probably be discussing fairly private matters at the doctor's office, directly with her or at least while she's listening, it would seem a little awkward. I dunno. I still say that women should turn blue when they are within 5 feet of someone they are interested in dating.

I think it would be a thing where you girls could turn it on and off when appropriate.

I am dead set on blue though. That's a deal breaker.

Every so often I like to go back to the start of long threads, just to see how far off the rails we've gotten... and saw this gem:

The first tip is an oldie but a goodie and contains a lot of truth, especially in the hands of someone who actually understands the nuance behind it.

Tell a smart girl she is pretty and a pretty girl she is smart.

Before you women get your skirts in a twist and say: can't a woman be both?!?!?! Of course. But the point of pithy statements is not to be 100% accurate. They contain truths writ broad that if one truly understands can be used to much advantage.

This statement sums up on how to properly give compliments which will actually resonate with whomever you are speaking, even men. But since women are the subject, let's stick with them.

Men seem absolutely oblivious on how to compliment women from first encounter and throughout their relationships, if they manage to get that far.

Most women who catch your attention do so for a particular reason, especially if in a social setting where you are pretty much unknown to each other. Guess what? Every other bore in her life was probably attracted to her for the same reason and she has heard the same compliments her whole life.

People know their "strengths". Because they have been told about them all their lives. Often these strengths are not what they want to be noticed for or have appreciated. They want to be understood and appreciated for the qualities they wish to aspire to have, feel they might, but get overshadowed by their outstanding qualities.

So how do you effectively and sincerely compliment a woman, whether it be day one or day one hundred?

That my friends will follow.

He's giving you gold, people.

Perhaps it was the woman that wanted to skin Emmanuelle Chriqui's face episode that caused it. I just do not know, but he was there, and it was tense enough to cause PTSD.  Good thing that he got the car started though.
