I only recognize it as a strip of cloth used to make clootie dumpling (a type of spice cake). I've made it w/ custard sauce many times.

I only recognize it as a strip of cloth used to make clootie dumpling (a type of spice cake). I've made it w/ custard sauce many times. Huh  I got it from a MST3K episode in which they were using it in the "devil" sense... Touch of Satan, great episode!
