Today in Russia begins the Procession of the Cross. This is a journey by pilgrims, organized in the hope of reinforcing ties of faith and friendship between Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

From the article:

One of the main tasks of the procession of pilgrims is an attempt to overcome the inner-church split in Ukraine. The Procession of the Cross will take a start ahead of the visit of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill to Kiev, which is due to take place from July 26th to 28th.
