is there a way to block private emails from other users on this site? I'm not saying I need it; I was just wondering.

Do you want to block the e-mails sent due to private messages or the private messages themselves?

Don't list your e-mail address?

(Sorry, poor attempt at humor!)

You can edit the "account related settings" for your profile to "hide email address from public." Then only the admin can see your email address. If you mean pm's then that is a little different.

Let me clarify--I am referring to private messages sent through oc.net.  Is there any way to block messages from individual users on this board?

Click Profile, then Personal Message Options (on the left).  You can chose to ignore specific users, or everyone.

No, but if you think a post was improper you can click "report to moderorator" at the left hand corner of the post itself.

Thanks, yes I know about that and have used it. It would just be a lot easier if I didn't have to see the posts in the first place.

Well, you don't have to read them, unless they come from a moderator and are typed in green or red font.

And even then, no one "has" to read them.

how do you know if you're going to agree or disagree w/ a post before you read it? if there is a particular poster you always find offensive, just skip his or her posts.

What do we do if one of the Priests on the board types in Red or Green but it's on Nativity, The Feast of Peter and Paul (tomorrow!) or Pentecost?  Just assume it's normal?

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.

THere  are several priests who participate here. If a priest writes here and is not part of the Mod staff, then read that post as you would any other.

If a Mod here who is a priest writes in red or green, then it is an official statement, just as if a non-priest staff member would write in red or green.

If I write in red or green, the people here should treat it as they would normally...i.e., ignore everything I write.  Cheesy
