Anyone been to Balamand University?
« on: July 09, 2011, 10:04:23 AM »
I know this may be a long shot, but has anyone here been to Balamand University or know anyone who has? Specifically, the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology. I went to Lebanon back in 2000 to look at going to school there but other personal events happened which cancelled that.

I am of Lebanese descent (father born there) and am looking at the possibility of going back there when I get out of the military in a couple years. I am looking at getting my degree (perhaps degrees) in theology there, not necessarily to be a priest, but because I want to study it. The first time I went, Metropolitan Philip sent a letter on my behalf (that was according to the Dean of Admissions). I doubt they still have it but I think I could probably get a new one. I was just wondering if anyone happened to have any experience with the school.
