So I picked up an iPhone 4 before Verizon starts a tiered pricing on data so I'll just be grandfathered in.

Anyway I wonder how Apple is going to make a better phone with the iPhone 5, it is seriously that good. It blows away my girlfriend's Gingerbread Android OS on her 4G phone, it's so silky smooth and fast. And the screen? Wow.

I'd like to pick up some new apps on it. I got Camera+, Netlifx, Skype, Angry Birds, Hipstomatic, Pandora, Zynga Poker, Facebook, BBC News.

Anyone recommend some good apps for the iPhone 4? Thanks.

I wouldn't ever have a smartphone of any kind voluntarily. I imagine at some point all cells will be smartphones. I wouldn't mind having a tablet computer or even a Nook though.

I had an iPhone 3G, then after a year, sick of AT&T's cruddy service, I dropped it. Somehow AT&T never came at me for the early cancellation fee! Had a prepaid for a while, now I've got the Droid X on Verizon.

Anyway, I've got an iPad and and iPod Touch 4th gen. The Android phones just don't have as good a music player as the Apple stuff! I run a Mac at home, too, so you can see I've got an Apple thingy going! Grin

Apps I have on iPod:
Kindle (Orthodox Study Bible available)
Bible Reader from Olive Tree (I have the RSV)
Stanza - great for other eBooks, especially free-no DRM ones. STS' Orthodox Daily Prayers (1982 edition) is a free download from Project Gutenberg

Weather Channel
New York Times (I got a trial 99 cents/week subscription so I can read all sections, not just top news)
NPR (can listen to NPR too)
BBC News
Miriam-Webster dictionary (free, I think it has all off-line access)

Check your local newspaper, TV stations, radio stations - many have apps.

Solitare (free)

Yahoo
Yahoo Messenger
PBS
Twitter
Facebook

Pages - Apple word processing app - I only have this on iPod since I've got it for iPad
Google search
Nightstand (free version)

Daily Readings - from the Greek Archdiocese, has daily Bible readings and readings on top 1-2 saints of the day, with fasting calendar
