Patriarch Zakka I Iwas of the Syriac Orthodox Church on Sunday spoke out against the use of violence, and in favor of dialogue in the political process.

From the article:
Quote
In a statement, Patriarch Iwas said that the growing freedom and strong awareness serves to enrich Syria's multiculturalism and will ensure its independence and dignity, creating an atmosphere where everyone has freedom of belief and expression.

The article states two names: Patriarch Zakka and Patriarch Iwas.  Are they the same person?  confused.

The full name of the Patriach is H.H Ignatius Zakka Iwas.
- Ignatius is the name assumed by all Patriarch's of Antioch in the Syriac tradition, commemorating the Ignatius who was installed as Bishop of Antioch by St. Peter.
- Zakka short for Zacchaeus is the given name of the Patriarch
- Iwas is his family name.
