Does anyone know of any sites that can teach you how to read neumes (hooks)?

Does this let you hear pitches or just see the symbols?

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more. A hasty quarrel kindles fire, and urgent strife sheds blood. If you blow on a spark, it will glow; if you spit on it, it will be put out; and both come out of your mouth

You might like this: http://www.stanthonysmonastery.org/music/LearnByz.htmThe recordings are by Konstantinos Katsoulis, a student of the master psaltis Iakovos Nafpliotis.

Neumes (or, to use the Greek plural neumata) means signs or gestures; pneuma/pneumata, means, as you know, spirit(s).

P.S.--just as a side note, I'm not sure what posessed me to write that Katsoulis was a student of Nafpliotis. He's not (although his chanting style is similar). I guess it was late.
