Fact remains that he did become a German citizen, he was the leader of Germany, he spoke of German racial superiority, etc, etc...
And all without becoming Lutheran as Synleszka claims.

So that distinquishes him from the rest of the Austrians how?

Btw, Hitler first gained prominence when he interrupted and debated a speaker advocating Bavarian reunion with Austria.

And we Prussians know that Bavaria resulted out of a failed attempt to make Germans out of the Austrians.
Plenty of Roman Catholic and atheist Germans as well, you know...

Ich bin auch Berliner.
Quote
A Berliner and a Bavarian are arguing about who has it best. The Bavarian effusively describes the majestic Alps and asks the Berliner if there is anything like them in Berlin. "No," says the Berliner, "we don't have any mountains. But if we did, they would certainly be higher than yours."

I haven't been around for long.  So pardon me if I'm jumping to conclusions or being harshly judgmental.  All of which said... this thread is L A M E.  Seriously.  Don't people have better things to do with their time, like count the blades of grass on their lawn?

Inside baseball. Go play with the wiffle ball bat, the big red one with the huge sweet spot that Johnny just can't miss with, till you are ready to at least hit from a tee.

Oh yeah, welcome.

I was looking for some pins to count angels, but I fell asleep first.

BTW, I thought that Ukrainians, Rusyns, Lemkos etc... had a monopoly on endless arguments about language and ethnicity, but it looks like I was wrong upon trying to follow this thread after it went off the rails.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I must say, the mucking at the bottoms of all the cultural barrels must do wonders for the souls of both ialmisry and synleszka.

I am in awe that you are able to do this, because when I do such a thing, I turn into a barbaric ass.

Give me a break, please! You may want to insult and goad one particular poster but you are truly insulting and offending all of us here - including your fellow Roman Catholics by your behavior. While I understand the complexities of the Polish/Russian historical animosity, it does not excuse your lumping all of Orthodoxy in with some crackpots. As a Catholic, do accept these people as being representative of your faith? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H81i-BE2wvs  I rather think not.

Attaching the heretical, insane musings of a few ultra-nationalist neo-fascists to the whole of Orthodoxy is the same sinful behavior secularists in the west engage in when they lump all Christians into the same box with the crazy self-proclaimed preacher from Florida who burned the Koran. Without youtube and the media no one would ever have heard of him or the neo-Stalinists.

If you are in fact a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing, who honors the Virgin Mary, fulfills your Sunday obligations and are in regular receipt of the Blessed Sacrament you should march yourself to your parish priest in humility and confess your offense to the Orthodox whom your own Holy Fathers regard as a sister church to yours.

Pride goeth before a fall as we are taught.

Good Luck! Here are a couple of old American favorite sayings for your journey:

1. If you don't have anything good to say about someone, don't say anything at all. and,

2. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

My suggestion regarding confession stands, by the way, you will feel better.

Pax vobiscum!

Stop it, who cares?? Those Poles were for the major part Roman Catholic. It is better that those ultramontanist be destroyed by the armies of Lutheran Germany. After all Roman Catholics are the sons of the antichrist, worse than the Turks, all of them are nazist cooperators, et cetera. After all, the Poles deserved to be annihilated, being Catholics. I take it you are refering to me, and not Papist.  I can't get youtube here, but I'm guessing this has to do with Vassula, who was baptized in the Patriarchate of Alexandria but who now is (or was) in the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarch and has been dealt with?

If it is something else, you will have to indicate/summarize for me to answer.

Since "papist", when used as a general noun, is a forbidden epithet on this forum, I changed your use of this word to the proper noun used as a username by the poster to whom Volnutt may have been speaking.  -PtA

evidently our Papist doesn't know what he is saying, nor that Ultramontism is the other gospel preached by his supreme pontiff in Pastor Aeternus.

Does HAH Theodoros also support this? I know she'd already been recognized as self-excommunicated from the Greek Church in 2004.

Does HAH Theodoros also support this? I know she'd already been recognized as self-excommunicated from the Greek Church in 2004.

I don't imagine that he would want to rub salt into the wound by making public comments on the fate of this unfortunate lady.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea.

Well, there goes my attempt to deflate the triumphalist spitting context...  laugh

I must say, the mucking at the bottoms of all the cultural barrels must do wonders for the souls of both ialmisry and synleszka.

I am in awe that you are able to do this, because when I do such a thing, I turn into a barbaric ass.

It's the German in you.
Which German? The Bayerisch (who will argue that they're the only TRUE Germans) or the Norddeutsch? Grin

You're an ultramontanist.
I'm not even an ultramarist, although I do follow the Pope.

You're an Ultramontantist

Papist, it's not nice to try to confuse the Orthodox.

evidently our Papist doesn't know what he is saying, nor that Ultramontism is the other gospel preached by his supreme pontiff in Pastor Aeternus.
You're and Ultramontanist.

You're and Ultramontanist.
Can you 1) fix your subject and predicate into a coherent sentence 2) look up ultramontanist in the dictionary, and make a cogent argument with that information.

I mean, I like Montana as much as the next guy. Wide open skies and all that. I just don't understand a whole thread calling into the question the love of The Last Great Place as a bad thing.

It's the untoward exhalation of Montana that is being called into question. Or are you one of those heretics who anathematizes the Neoidahoites and Dakotaensians?

And with that, this thread has exhausted itself and is locked.  You all can continue your childish "I know you are, but what am I" game, and it's cousin, "You're a [blank].  No, YOU'RE a [blank]" past time in another thread.

On second thought, don't.
