Unless of course you are referring to the Oriental Communion (with the Copts, Ethiopians, Armenians, etc.) vs. the Eastern Communion (with the Russians, Greeks, Romanians, etc.). In that case, one of the two is schismatic, in my opinion the Oriental Communion, and many Eastern Orthodox believe that the Orientals are heretics, on at least a few points.

"Patriarch" Theodore Balsamon "of Antioch," who never set foot outside of Constantinople, forbade that (and the EO foolish followed him) c. 1195. |

Besides, in many languages (if not every other language), Oriental and Eastern are the same word. In fact, in English, they mean the same thing. Therefore, I was clarifying that there is a difference. Some people may not know that there are two completely distinct communions.

I've heard of certain monasteries and churches celebrating the Liturgy of St. Mark on his feast day. |
