A while ago, someone posted a thread about Orthodox writers in science fiction and fantasy. I love to read, so that was fun for me.  Smiley

I thought I'd post about a couple of Orthodox Christian writers of whom I know in mystery novels. These are Jane Haddam, who has a series about former FBI agent and Armenian Orthodox Christian Gregor Demarkian, and Boris Akunin, who writes about the nun and sleuth Sister Pelagia. 

Feel free to contribute any others of whose work you enjoy.  Smiley

I don't know very much about Boris  Akunin but wasn't his mother jewish?

Yes. But then again, his father was from Georgia and the books about sister Pelagia also have a convert from judaism among its characters. There is a chance Cheesy

Try this, although he wasn't much into pious talk. The author, Ion Creanga, was a deposed deacon with much love for life, more than the canons envisaged.
