Not just a good book, but a very interesting one, I thought. I'd like to read more about Orthodoxy in India, particularly a bio of Archimandrite Lazarus Moore.

If you spend long enough on this forum, you'll come away with all sorts of weird, untrue ideas of Orthodox Christianity.

I would suggest most persons in general avoid any question beginning with why.

Thanks for the reply!  I don't know if there is a bio for Archimandrite Lazarus Moore around.  In some of his translations you kind find a mini-bio of sorts.   You can find an interesting section on him in the latest publication of "An Extraordinary Peace St. Seraphim, Flame of Sarov"  published by Anaphora Press.  He was responsible for most of the translation of "The Ladder of Divine Ascent" published by Holy Transfiguration Monastery.  This is my favorite translation of this work.  It is a little expensive, however, the publishers did a very nice job that in my opinion gives justice to "The Ladder."

With this link you can find an audio recording interview with Fr. Lazarus about Hinduism in India.

Thanks for the feedback.
