"Life Reviews" after death.

I was just reading an interesting article about the "life reviews" that those who go through near death experiences claim that we all get after we die.  Is this belief consistant with the Orthodox (Or Catholic) understanding of the afterlife?

A life review is a phenomenon widely reported as occurring during near-death experiences, in which a person rapidly sees much or the totality of his or her life history in chronological sequence and in extreme detail. It is often referred to by people having experienced this phenomenon as having their life "flash before their eyes".

I had My Life Flash before my eyes twice ,when i was held up at gunpoint ...Not Thur a near death experience but at gunpoint.....In seconds everything i did be it good or bad, like a picture slide show passed before my eyes ,things  I thought i forgot ....Second time it happen after that, i went to confession and Holy Communion to clean the slate..I was aware if i was to die in any of those holdups i would be a lost soul......

                Whoever came up with that saying ,had to have experienced it themselves.....
