Seeing as how today is the anniversary of Italian unification, I propose we celebrate with some Italian music that isn't in standard Italian, just because those Tuscans need to learn that their language is a dirty perversion of the real Italian tongues, those from the South. Tongue

The Methodist church I used to attend once had a Jesus doll. The pastor thought it was really creepy. I did, too, but I ended up taking it home because no one else wanted it, heh.

Of all the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, the little matchgirl is one of the best, in my opinion. This version by Disney is good because they(contrary to the little mermaid) actually keeps to the story no matter how sad it may be. The only thing, I find strange is that they have placed in Russia (In fact, if you pay attencion, you will see a russian orthodox monk walk by at the beginning)

If danish animation students are able to create something like this, why on earth can't anybody make an animation film which doesn't include porn, meaningless violence and incredibly bad humor.

CopperWire "Phone Home"

When three artists from the West Coast combine their shared Ethiopian roots and colorful solo careers, the end result is electric. For Meklit Hadero, Gabriel Teodros, and Burntface, aka Ellias Fullmore, a highly conductive hip-hop outfit aptly named CopperWire was born. The trio formed the band during a trip to East Africa — Meklit dropping vocal improvisations over the beats of Gabriel and Burntface

This is one of my favorite youtube videos out there.  Warning, there are a couple of naughty words, and at least a couple of Iraqis died in the making of this video, but...well, that sorta thing happens in Falluja.

My buddy showed this to me for the first time a few months after he got out of the sandbox.  He was over there at the same time as this was being shot, though his MEU was in the 2nd Division and not in Falluja.

Oorah.

“Lord, I say too many uncharitable things about people every day. I say them because they make me look clever. Help me to realize how cheap this is. I am stupid, quite as stupid as the people I ridicule. Help me to stop this selfishness, because I love You dear God." ~ FLANNERY O'CONNOR ~
