Friends,

Please remember my girlfriend's friend Katy, who died this week at the tender age of 19 from complications due to cancer.  Please also pray for her boyfriend Brandon, who never left her side during the final days and is just not doing well at present.

Oh dear.  How very sad. I'm very sorry to read this.  Are you friends with Brandon so you can give him some support?  He's awfully young to have this sort of tragedy happen.

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I, unfortunately, do not know either of them (they're from Texas).  The best I can do is offer my girlfriend (who was friends with both) support and, of course, my prayers.
