Hello, So I am now working on building an Icon Corner, I really enjoy the Coptic artwork and have asked a couple of places about their Icons I am curious where I can get some info on set up of one? Also I have had this issue with my incense when I close the lid of my burner it kills the charcoal (possibly suffocates?), when I don't it seems to burn up the incense to a crispy black awful smelling mess.. and help?

*edit* I wanted a purely OO perspective on the Icon Corner which is why I posted this here... I would also like ideas what all i should get, then work up to... so far i have the BOC daily prayers and am ordering 3 Icons...

I don't think your icon corner needs to be as elaborate as the one in this video, but it may give you ideas:

I can't really answer your question about the incense.  I don't burn any because there is an asthmatic person in my home.   Smiley  I don't think that Copts burn incense in their homes, though.  Armenians do and EO's do, but I don't think that Copts do.

The censer will always snuff out the coal if you close it, that's the point. If you don't want the coal to burn the incense to a crisp, place it around the coal, NOT on top of it.
