Creed at Great Compline
« on: April 09, 2011, 03:00:07 PM »
Does anyone know why the Nicene Creed at Great compline is said in a "hushed" voice?
I seek the truth by which no man was ever harmed--Marcus Aurelius

Those who do not read  history are doomed to get their facts from Hollywood--Anonymous

What earthly joy remains untouched by grief?--St. John Damascene

No clue...but my experience in practice is that most people recite it in a normal tone of voice.
"And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us..."
