Christian all my life and is still learning

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Can you please help me with this.
Ive read a Muslim debate that there is nowhere in the Bible where Jesus claims to be God.
Surely, that's not correct can you supply me with the information where Jesus does confirm that He is the One.

Thank you and God bless us all.

PS. Please, follow the link for more information.

John 8:58

εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς· ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, πρὶν Ἀβραὰμ γενέσθαι ἐγὼ εἰμί.

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Exodus 3:14 (LXX)

καὶ εἶπεν ὁ Θεὸς πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ὤν

And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am

Ego eimi is a VERY unusual choice of words. Eimi means I am, Ego is unnecessary. So here we clearly see Christ using the name God used for Himself to to Moses. Thus it is clear that Christ calls himself God.

Muslims can only read that in the bible insomuch as the bible has Christ nowheresaying "I am God worship me." That or similiar such phrases. The trinity is in the bible but is the result of various things said about Christ and concluding as to the picture of God. Christ says he will judge all mankind. Christ says he has all power on heaven and earth. When confronted with these things muslims will often deny them, not answer or say the scripture is corrupted. In which case the point has been conceeded.

Andrewlya,

If you come across a Muslim presenting the same argument again, ask him/her where in the Qur'an does Jesus say "I am but a prophet, nothing more"?

That's a good point. As far as I know they believe Jesus to be a Messiah and waiting for His Second Coming, they just don't believe that He is God...So, I wanted to show the best chapters/verses of the Bible where Jesus Christ does say so.

According to the Qur'an, Jesus is THE Messiah and the only one. As for His second coming, that is attested in the Islamic tradition, but not in the Qur'an.
