it's "Vere Resurexit!" in Latin.  Of course there are some accents in there but I don't know how to do those.  Those with a knowledge of Latin would know where to to put the accents.

You can always say Hristos Voskrese, man.
Relavent story to follow:
So in a rather large town on the west coast, there dwells a certain protodeacon.  Many many moons ago, this protodeacon's parish was having a big feast, in a big banquet hall, in the non-pascha part of the year.
His ex-wife, with was considered a bit of a shrew, was kinda the master of ceremonies.  She asked him, "Father, why don't you say a few words."  He looks at her and said, "There are only 2 words I will say to you." "Oh, and what are they?"  "Hristos Voskrese!"  When later asked by certain people, why he had said Hristos Voskrese, he replied "The saints, when encountering demons, would say even to them, Hristos Voskrese!"

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Because in the Western church calendar Eastertide ends at Pentecost. In the Byzantine Rite one it ends the day before Ascension.
