The Slippery Slope of Modalism

« on: March 27, 2011, 02:18:26 AM »

One of my friends who is not an infrequent visitor to the parish I attend, lost his cousin this week.

She had been involved in a turbulent and violent relationship with her husband for some time much to the dismay and sadness and, and, and of her family.

Many trips to the hospital. Once for losing a finger.

She died last week, after deciding to the leave the relationship. Foul play is suspected and points to her husband. And is beginning to garner public attention, specially a ugly 911 call by the husband. Pretty hard to bear for the family

Went out with my buddy tonight to "mourn" how we do. Not so much in the Lenten letter. Priest approved.

Please pray for her and my friend and all women who for whatever reasons do not leave such relationships and also for the men who for whatever reasons visit violence on the women in their lives.

Lord have mercy!

The Slippery Slope of Modalism

« Reply #15 on: April 10, 2011, 03:10:24 AM »

Thank you for your prayers.

The coroner's report hasn't been officially released, but from what I understand from those are privy to what will be released, the death was caused by strangulation with post mortem injection of heroin in a very bad attempt to frame it as a suicide or accidently OD.

The husband will soon probably find himself charged with the crime.

Thankfully, when he was let out of custody on his outstanding warrant and went to work, he was pretty much ran off the job site (small town). And then went home to a damage gas pipe which cudda gone really wrong, probably as a sign to split town.

He did. So the family is spared having to see him around town and he is not in harm's way.

As I said, he will probably be brought into custody via extradition from the other State he fled to.

Again prayers for the men who visit such abuse on women and the women who suffer such abuse. The fallout is ugly for the two involved and so many others around.

It stuff like this that sometimes makes seeing any joy or hope for me amid the grief of repentance nearly impossible.
