I encoutnered some Mormon paraphernalia in my work's breakroom. It's a book on the D&C and I know the guy who put it there, should I toss is in the garbage or talk with HR about it?
I'd love to throw it away, but unfourtantley WWJD isn't helping me out with this one.

Talk to HR. Work is not a place for proselytizing.

Be careful about causing too many waves at work. They may come back to bite you.

Talk to HR. Work is not a place for proselytizing. Agreed. Stuff like that should not be left in the break-room.

Are you sure this book was left there for purposes of proselytizing? That is, is it a tract? Cause if so it sounds like a yawner. A book on the Doctrines and Covenants, though, sounds like the type of material he would be reading for his own edification. What if you accidentally left a copy of The Orthodox Church or perhaps St Athanasius' On the Incarnation of Christ in the breakroom? Would you want someone to turn you in to HR, throw it out, or would you want them to return your book?
WWJD is all well and good for late '90s Evangelical fashion statements, but the real question is "How would I want to be treated in a similar circumstance?" You know, the Golden Rule.

I'll talk with HR, but when I do so should I actually remove the document from the break room? And should I mention the person who did it?

Well he's left DVD's on the Mormon church and other stuff that is basically Intro to Mormonism type of material.
