My Father, Peter W. Trakas, departed this life yesterday, at 1:45 p.m. Please mention the Servant of God Panagioti in your prayers for the blessed eternal repose, pardon, forgiveness and remission of his sins. He lived in this life to age 87. He dedicated his life to the progress of my Mother, his wife of 60+ years, my brother, sister and me. He was a WWII Army Infantry Veteran, of "The Greatest Generation," proud to have served in General George Patton's 3rd Army's march across Western Europe. He served 3 consecutive terms as the Parish Council President of my parish, and was the General Chairman of the parish's Consecretion in 1986.
I sincerely thank all of you who take the time to mention my Dad in their prayers, a most deserving servant of God.

He sounds like a great man, who did much good in his life, and who will be sorely missed.
May his Memory be Eternal.

I very sincerely thank everyone who prayed for my Dad, whether you posted comments of not.
His 40 Day Memorial Service is today, following the Divine Liturgy. (It's actually been 50 days, however, our church does not perform memorial (mnymosina) or trisagion services from Palm Sunday through the Sunday of St. Thomas.)
Christ Is Risen; May his Memory be Eternal.
(I'm going to print this out to show to my Mother to demonstrate to her how we pray for each other's needs on "oc.net".)
